As an additional note from my previous post, all Active Military Members or Veterans and their immediate families will be given free admission to the game. Just show a valid I.D. at the gates which open at Noon.

Spring Practice All Access

With the Unfortunate ending to the amazing season of basketball our boys had this year, this blog will turn its attention to the Football team and we’ll kick that off with the annual Orange and Blue Debut this upcoming Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Live coverage will be available on GatorVision Online. The Game will be broadcast via tape-delay on Sun Sports at 5:00 p.m.(because of a freaking baseball game. Thanks for that Tampa), with a replay on Sunday at 10 a.m. and numerous times in the upcoming weeks.

The game will be shown on television on SunSports for the final year as it will now be shown on the new SEC Network which begins broadcasting this August.

For those attending the game in Gainesville, there will be a Fan Fest presented by Verizon starting at 10:30 a.m. with The Gator Walk beginning at 11. There will also be an Alumni Flag football game for your viewing pleasure an hour before the game at 12:30. The weather for Saturday is supposed to be in the low 80’s with a slight chance for rain.

Players on the Gators basketball team continue to bring home the awards this season. Point Guard Scottie Wilbekin has been named a 3rd Team All-American by the Associated Press, while Forward Casey Prather and Center Patric Young got All-American Honorable Mentions.

Casey Prather was also named to the Wooden Award All-American List.

Video of Florida coach Billy Donovan getting a nice post Elite 8 water bath (I say water because it would be absolutely blasphemous for Gators to ingest Powerade, a sponsor of the NCAA Tournament).

Hey there! This is a video I made about Will Yeguete and his “little brother” Kaedyn Ballew, a recent cancer patient at Shands who has been fighting lymphoblastic leukemia since he was 10 months old. It would mean a lot if you could share it :)

-A very recent J-School Gator Alum :)

Video of the team’s 1 A.M. return to Gainesville where they were met by and celebrated the teams Elite 8 victory with the cheerleaders and fans.

After 3 straight years of failing to get past the Elite 8, and 7 years since their last trip, the Florida Gators are finally back in the Final 4 where they will face the UConn Huskies on Saturday, April 5th, for a chance to play in the National Championship game.

You may remember Florida playing UConn earlier this season as it was the last team that has beaten the Gators on a last second buzzer beater (when in actuality UConn’s Shabazz Napier double-dribbled and it should have been a turnover and Florida ball, but hey whatever I’ve moved past it). Now, 5 months later, the Gators get the chance to enact their revenge for the mistake that the officials made (oops, apparently not).

Final:
